*** Giải thích dài dòng một chút vì sao tớ lại dùng loại cho da khô đến rất khô:

Như tớ đã giới thiệu ở post About me thì da tớ là da hỗn hợp dầu và nhạy cảm. Nhưng có một đợt điều trị mụn dùng isotretinoin và da tớ bị khô bong tróc rất kinh dị nên tớ đã phải dùng dưỡng ẩm cho da khô. Hồi ở Việt Nam, tớ vẫn dùng Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream nhưng hôm trước đi mua lại không có nên tớ đành mua tạm em này.

Về bao bì, em này đựng trong tube nhựa 226g siêu to, có nắp để bóp kem ra rất dễ dàng và vệ sinh. Tớ thấy dùng tube hoặc chai có vòi bơm thì sẽ sạch sẽ hơn dùng hũ rất nhiều. Vỏ tube màu đặc nên sẽ hơi khó để biết đã sắp hết kem hay chưa.
Thành phần

Water, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Cetearyl Alcohol, Macadamia Integrifolia seed oil, Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Sodium Polyacrylate,  Ceteareth-20, Tocopherol Acetate, Benzyl alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Stearoxytrimethylsilane, Stearyl Alcohol, Farnesol, Acrylates / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate crosspolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Citric acid, Sodium hydroxide 

Em này không chứa chất tạo mùi và không gây bít lỗ chân lông.

Em này có dạng lotion màu trắng, chất khá lỏng. Mỗi lần sử dụng cho cả mặt tớ chỉ bóp ra một lượng bằng hạt đậu.

Cetaphil quảng cáo em này là non-greasy. Tớ thấy khi xoa lên mặt thì đúng là sản phẩm không gây bóng nhờn, nhưng cũng không để lại cảm giác khô ráo, mà trái lại lại thấy hơi dính, nặng mặt và bí. Phải mất khoảng 30' sau khi thoa kem mới thấm hết vào mặt.

Về hiệu quả dưỡng ẩm, theo tớ là em này không tốt bằng Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. Tớ hay bị khô và bong tróc da phần cánh mũi và quanh mép nhưng bôi lên thì chỉ thấy da hết căng, chứ những chỗ bong tróc phải sau 2-3 ngày mới đỡ. Trong khi trước kia dùng Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream thì không bao giờ da tớ bị bong tróc luôn. Khi makeup, da tớ bị những vết mốc và bong da nhìn khá rõ.

Được cái là em này khá lành tính, không gây bít lỗ chân lông.

Giá full price em này là AU$15.50 cho một tube 226g, khá rẻ vì dùng được rất lâu.Tớ mua em này hôm 30% off, còn tầm $10-11 gì đó. 

Tuy giá rẻ nhưng thật sự tớ không thích và không recommend em này.

The product that I'm going to share my opinion on today is a moisturising lotion from my favourite drugstore skincare brand Cetaphil

Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion 

(for Dry to Very Dry Skin)

Even though my skin is oily combination, this product was used while I'm on oral isotretinoin treatment and my skin became super dry and flaky. My doctor in Vietnam recommended Cetaphil Mosturizing Cream, but as I couldn't find it in Sydney (I didn't know it has different packaging here), I purchased this lotion instead.

Packaging

As with other Cetaphil products, this lotion comes in a huge 226g plastic tube. I'd prefer this format to the jar as the former is more hygienic and also more economical since the product doesn't expose to the air. However, because the packaging is opaque, it's a bit hard to tell when the lotion is running out.

This product also comes in an even bigger and more economical 473ml bottle with a pump.

Ingredients

Water, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Cetearyl Alcohol, Macadamia Integrifolia seed oil, Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Sodium Polyacrylate,  Ceteareth-20, Tocopherol Acetate, Benzyl alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Stearoxytrimethylsilane, Stearyl Alcohol, Farnesol, Acrylates / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate crosspolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Citric acid, Sodium hydroxide

Apart from water, the first few ingredients are all common substances found in moisturisers and are pretty safe with low risk of irritation:  

- Glycerin is a humectant

- Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Cetearyl Alcohol (even though has the word "alcohol" in it) and Panthenol (or pro-vitamin B5) are emollients and all helps condition and soften skin.

-  Macadamia seed oil and shea butter with high content of oleic acid are also common and known to moisturise skin effectively.

This product is fragrance free and non-comedogenic.

The product itself

This is a white and quite runny lotion. Just a pea-sized amount is enough for my whole face.

Cetaphil advertises this lotion as non-greasy and "clinically proven to provide effective moisturisation, 24-hour moisturisation after 1 application", but unfortunately it doesn't live up to its claim. 

First, it doesn't absorb as quickly as I expect. It takes about 30 minutes for the product to completely sink into my skin. The feeling after applying is also not lightweight, but rather heavy, unconfortable and I feel like my pores are blocked - just my feeling, it doesn't break me out actually.

Second, even though this lotion is for dry and very dry skin, it is nowhere near as good as my all time favourite Cetaphil Moisturising Cream. The skin on my nose and around my mouth is still flaky, causing my foundation to look very cakey and uneven.

Price

The 226g tube retails for about $15.50 and the big 473ml bottle is also very affordable at about $25.50. Of course you can always get them cheaper with discounts.

Buy again? Recommend?

I love Cetaphil, but with this product, I'd say no.
