Em phấn này đựng trong hộp nhựa tròn có nặp vặn rời, không đi kèm gương hay bông phấn. Vì thế nên em ý hơi bất tiện để mang đi trong túi.

Bên Úc sản phẩm này có 3 shades để lựa chọn:
10 Classic Ivory
30 Natural Beige
50 Sun Beige

Tớ dùng màu số 30 (da tớ dùng MAC NC25) và thấy hơi sáng so với da mặt một chút. Tớ chữa cháy bằng cách đánh 1 chút bronzer cho vùng quanh trán và dưới xương hàm thì thấy ok. Màu số 30 này tớ nghĩ có lẽ sẽ hợp với các bạn da sáng hơn tớ một chút, tầm MAC NC15-20.


Thành phần

TALC, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM / MINERAL OIL, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, [+/- MAY CONTAIN: CI 77891 /TITANIUM DIOXIDE, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / IRON OXIDES] 

Với bản thân tớ là da dễ nổi mụn thì dùng em này không thấy bị bí da hay kích ứng gây mụn gì hết.

Phấn trong hộp được nén khá mịn, nhưng không nén chặt lắm. Thường tớ sẽ dùng với cọ Buffing Brush của Real Techniques và là bước cuối cùng để set makeup
.

Về hiệu quả giữ cho lớp nền lâu trôi và da mặt không bị bóng nhờn, theo tớ là khá tốt.
Tớ trang điểm từ 7h, đi học hoặc đi làm cả ngày đến 4-5h chiều mới về nhà (tính ra tầm 9-10 tiếng), và trong cả ngày không hề dặm lại phấn nhưng lúc về đến nhà soi gương thấy mặt vẫn không bị nhờn và lớp nền bên dưới vẫn còn khá ổn. So sánh với mấy hôm tớ vội quá mà bỏ qua lớp phấn phủ thì đúng là thấy đến trưa tầm 11-12h soi gương đã thấy màu nền bị xuống tông và vùng chữ T bị đổ nhiều dầu.

Giá em này full price là AU$11.95 cho 16g. Tớ mua hôm em nó sale 50% nên chỉ còn $5.97, tính ra là tầm 110k. Hộp phấn có hạn dùng 2 năm sau khi mở, và vì mỗi lần tớ chỉ dùng khá ít nên kể cả dùng hàng ngày thế này thì có lẽ đến lúc em nó hết hạn tớ cũng vẫn chưa dùng hết được. Tớ đánh giá đây là một loại phấn phủ kiềm dầu giá rẻ và chất lượng khá tốt, tớ thích!

Maybelline Matte Maker Mattifying Powder

Packaging
The product comes in a round, pretty small plastic case with a lid - very similar to the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. As there is no mirror and puff included, together with the flimsy lid, it is not a travel friendly product.

Shades
There are 3 shades available in Australia as at the time of writing:
10   Classic Ivory
30   Natural Beige
50   Sun Beige 
*** However I've just done a quick check and found that the shade Sun Beige has been discontinued.

I'm using the shade 30 Natural Beige (for comparison, I'm in MAC NC25) and find it a bit lighter than my skin tone. I would need some contour around hairline and jawline to make things put together. I guess this shade would fit someone with slightly fairer complexion than mine, such as MAC 15 to 20.

The coverage is quite sheer though, so don't expect to use it to hide your imperfections.

Ingredients
As you can see from the photo, this product contains Talc, Mineral Oil and Paraffin which may be a big no-no for someone with acne prone skin. However, for myself, I haven't got any issues with this product.

The product itself
I use this powder with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to set my makeup. I know this RT brush is for foundation, but it works well with face powder, too.


This product claims to "attracts and absorbs oil whilst setting in foundation" and "blends seamlessly with your skin tone for a perfectly flawless matte finish". 

I would say it does pretty well what it promises with regards to setting foundation and blending effect. However, if you want a completely matte finish, this powder may not be for you. As I prefer semi-matte finish and just want something lightweight and oil control, I like this product. Having my makeup on for about 10 hours (7am to 5pm) and not blotting throughout the day, my base makeup still looks fine with just a little shine. Comparing with days when I skip this final setting step, my foundation tends to get blotchy and cakey in the T-zone, plus chance of turning orange due to oxidisation.

Price
A 16g pack retails at $11.95, but you can easily get 30%, even 50% discount at supermarkets or pharmacies.
With a 2 year use-by date after opening, I don't think I can hit pan as a little goes a quite long long way.

Buy again? Recommend?
Yes and yes, if you're like me and don't mind the flimsy packaging.
